How difficult is it to build the Softrock lite II SDR Recever.

The Softrock lite II Receiver is the most easiest to build out of the Softrock range of SDR's

My first board I tried to solder the Surface mount IC's directly on the PCB with my soldering iron and solder but made some solder links between the legs of the IC.
I the struggled to clean the solder link with my solder sucker.


The second board a placed small amounts of solder paste on the IC pads on the PCB with a magnifying glass.
I then placed the IC on the solder pads and then solder the IC legs with small amount of solder and it worked much better.
